Help grow the intentional communities movement through NICA
NICA is a nonprofit run by volunteers, and we're always eager to welcome more help. We'd love to chat with you about ways that you can get involved and contribute your skills and talents to the intentional communities movement through NICA.
Regardless of your skill level or availability, there's a meaningful role for you here. From basic administrative support to potentially joining our board, we're committed to finding a match for your skills and time commitment, ensuring a comfortable volunteer experience. Volunteering is primarily done remotely. However, if you're interested in assisting at in-person events, we welcome that too.
- The best way to kickstart a conversation about getting involved is to use our Interest Form. This allows us to address any questions you may have or schedule a brief call to delve into details.
- After discussing opportunities and answering any questions you may have, if you decide to proceed, we'll kindly request you to share your Volunteer Preferences (availability, roles of interest, etc).
About the Roles
Below you'll find a sample of roles and keep in mind that this is not an up-to-date or complete list. Sometimes roles are reorganized or merged, but this should give you a general idea of some of the ways you can get involved. Some roles are already filled, many still need an extra hand, and many are available for someone to fill.
None of these are full-time roles. You can volunteer a couple of hours each month or as much as you have time. Other roles may take a lot more time of course, but you get to choose your involvement level.
For those who would like to dip their toes, we always have a generic administrative support role available (editing documents, spreadsheets, updating records, data entry, etc) that can be done remotely from home and is an easy way to get involved.
