Geoff Kozeny travelled to hundreds of intentional communities, interviewing many residents about their community experience. The result was a remarkable DVD in which Geoff shares highlights of the history of IC’s (Intentional Communities), insights about what works, and in-depth profiles of 7 contemporary communities, including Ananda Village, Twin Oaks, Breitenbush Hot Springs, Earthaven Ecovillage, and more.

On Saturday, July 13 from 4-6pm,  NICA will present Part One of the DVD set. It is 94 minutes, and will be followed by a discussion on various issues related to this hopeful movement for a better way of life.

  1. Unfortunately, I will be on the East Coast when you show this, but I would like to see it, as I have been thinking about doing just such a project, and lo…here it has been done!

How would I be able to get a screening? I’m visiting Seattle area (actually Kirkland) at the moment but live in Portland.

  2. I would contact the tech support person for NICA or someone on the board directly. I also own a copy of each of the Visions of Utopia DVDs, if you’d like to borrow one or both. I’m Syd, an IC founder, having lived in and visited multiple intentional communities, including co-ops, communes, cohousing projects also, & formerly a NICA board member. You can contact me at gogreen (at) usa (dot) com & then we can get your email address too and be sure to include you on the newsletter list and other event postings.
